April 18: Good Friday Service
JPII Newman Oratory | 3:00 p.m.
Good Friday is a day of fasting within the Church. This is the only day of the year when there is no Mass celebrated. However, there is a service where we remember Jesus’ arrest, trial, and crucifixion.
April 19: Easter Vigil Mass & Party
JPII Newman Oratory | 9:00 p.m.
Saturday is often a day of preparing for the Easter Vigil and Easter celebrations, but it is also a day to remember Jesus in the tomb before his resurrection. The Easter Vigil is celebrated after sunset and begins outside where the Easter fire is enkindled, and the Paschal candle is blessed and lit.
After the Easter Vigil Mass, all are invited to a Resurrection Party in the Commons beginning around 11:00 p.m.
April 20: Easter Sunday Mass
JPII Newman Oratory | 10:30 a.m.
He is risen! Alleluiah!
There will be NO Sunday evening Mass on Easter Sunday.
